Mac App Store edition · Effective September 15, 2026

Power data stays on your Mac

WattBar reads built-in battery level, voltage, current, charging status, estimated time to full and adapter power capacity from macOS to display battery charging and discharging power. Readings are processed in memory, with no history saved or upload to the developer or third-party servers. The store edition does not read other apps’ lists or energy use.

No accounts, ads or tracking

No registration is required. The app includes no ads, analytics SDKs, trackers or third-party updater. Power monitoring works offline. Apple handles App Store downloads and updates under its own policies.

Settings saved on the device

The refresh interval and first-use state are saved in the app’s own sandbox until you change them or delete its local data. macOS manages Open at Login; the app registers only after you enable it. You can disable it in the app or System Settings.

Visiting the website or contacting support

Online privacy and support links open your default browser. Normal server access logs may process your IP address, access time, requested URL and browser information to respond and troubleshoot the website. These requests do not include the app’s battery readings. Feedback and contact details you choose to submit are used to handle the corresponding support or privacy request. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information.

Your choices

Quitting WattBar stops monitoring. You can change the refresh interval and Open at Login in the app. To request access, correction or deletion of support information you submitted, use the website contact link.

Policy changes and contact

If data practices change, we will update this page and the in-app information. Use WattBar Support to reach the website contact channel, and specify that you use the Mac App Store edition.

Separate website edition

The website edition includes a separate software updater. Its update checks use the configured HTTPS feed and download release information when you request an update; it has different update behavior. The offline monitoring and no third-party updater statements above apply to the store edition. Neither edition’s adapter capacity should be interpreted as measured wall power.
